Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how ReelNite collects, uses, discloses, and retains information when you use ReelNite streaming, Studio, advertising, affiliate, Shop, support, live, and related services.
1. Information We Collect
Account and profile information: We collect information you provide, such as your name, email address, profile details, account settings, subscription status, and security settings. Studio members may also provide creator, business, tax, shipping, and payout-related information needed for the features they use.
Payments and transactions: Stripe processes payment methods and connected-account payouts. ReelNite stores identifiers and transaction records needed to manage creator subscriptions, Live tickets, Shop orders, refunds, disputes, creator earnings, affiliate earnings, and payouts. ReelNite does not intentionally store full payment card numbers or card security codes in its application database.
Viewing and account activity: We maintain records needed for the service, including watch history, verified playback sessions, watchlist activity, ratings, comments, your Live chat activity, Live event participation, notifications, content access, support requests, and account security events. Verified playback records may also be used for creator revenue and platform accounting.
Device and network signals: We may process browser or user-agent information, a device category such as mobile, tablet, desktop, or TV, referrer and page-path information, a pseudonymized network identifier, and coarse location signals supplied by trusted infrastructure where available.
Studio, seller, advertiser, and affiliate information: Depending on the features you use, we process uploaded media and metadata, Studio membership and permissions, analytics and revenue records, products and fulfillment information, campaigns and impression records, affiliate conversions, tax status, and payout readiness.
Optional analytics: If you allow analytics cookies, ReelNite may collect site and content interaction events for product improvement. Google Analytics may also collect information such as session statistics, approximate location, and browser or device information. Optional analytics are disabled until you choose to allow them.
2. How We Use Information
- Provide the service: Stream content, maintain accounts, remember playback progress, operate Studio, Shop, live, advertising, affiliate, and support features, and deliver requested communications.
- Personalize ReelNite: Recommend titles and organize the experience using account activity such as viewing history, ratings, and watchlist activity.
- Payments and accounting: Process subscriptions and orders, calculate creator and seller earnings, reconcile refunds and disputes, administer affiliate earnings, and support tax and financial recordkeeping.
- Advertising: Deliver eligible contextual advertising to ad-supported viewers, use first-party delivery history to limit repetitive ad exposure and pace breaks, record impressions and related delivery information, enforce campaign budgets, and calculate associated platform and creator accounting. ReelNite does not use optional analytics consent as a cross-context behavioral advertising profile.
- Safety and security: Authenticate users, investigate abuse and fraud, rate-limit misuse, secure private media, enforce permissions, preserve audit records for governed actions, and protect ReelNite and its users.
- Support and legal compliance: Resolve support requests, administer copyright and other legal processes, respond to lawful requests, and preserve records when required or reasonably necessary for applicable obligations.
- Optional analytics: When you allow analytics, measure site and feature usage so we can improve performance and product experience.
3. When We Disclose Information
We disclose information as needed to operate ReelNite and for the purposes described in this policy. Recipients may include:
- Stripe: Payment processing, subscription administration, refunds, disputes, connected-account payouts, and related financial operations.
- Amazon Web Services: Infrastructure used for hosting, private media storage and delivery, video processing, live streaming, and related platform operations.
- Google Analytics: Optional website analytics only after you allow analytics cookies.
- Creators, sellers, and advertisers: Aggregated or operational information needed for their ReelNite features, such as title performance, verified watch activity, seller orders, or campaign delivery. ReelNite does not provide creators with a viewer's private account profile merely because that viewer watched a title.
- Professional, legal, and compliance recipients: When reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate fraud or abuse, handle disputes, or establish or defend legal claims.
- Business transactions: Information may be transferred as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of relevant business assets, subject to applicable requirements.
ReelNite does not offer personal information for money. We do not currently use optional analytics cookies for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4. Cookies and Analytics Choices
- Essential cookies: Used for sign in, session security, fraud prevention, service preferences, and other functions needed to operate ReelNite. These are not controlled by the optional analytics setting.
- Consent preference: ReelNite stores your analytics choice in a first-party preference cookie so the website and analytics APIs can honor the same choice.
- Analytics cookies: Optional. Google Analytics and ReelNite's optional visit and engagement analytics run only after you allow analytics. If you turn analytics off, ReelNite stops future optional analytics collection and attempts to remove Google Analytics cookies set for ReelNite.
You can reopen Cookie settings from the control shown on ReelNite and change your analytics choice at any time. Disabling optional analytics does not disable records required to provide playback, payments, fraud prevention, security, creator accounting, Shop fulfillment, refunds, disputes, or other requested service functions.
5. Data Retention and Account Closure
- Active accounts: We retain information while it is needed to provide and secure the features you use.
- Account closure: When you close an eligible account, ReelNite removes account access and deletes or de-identifies personal account data that is no longer needed. Some transaction, security, support, fraud-prevention, tax, accounting, copyright, or other legal records may be retained when necessary and used only for the applicable retained purpose.
- Security and technical logs: Routine audit network and browser details are automatically minimized after 90 days. Resolved technical error reports are ordinarily removed after 90 days, and technical error records are not retained indefinitely. Security event records may remain in de-identified or minimized form when needed for fraud prevention, investigations, compliance, or platform integrity.
- Viewing records: Personal watch history can be cleared without deleting verified playback records that are still needed for creator revenue or platform accounting. When an account is closed, retained governed records are de-identified where appropriate.
- Creator content: Content availability and removal follow the applicable Studio or title agreement, platform policies, legal holds, and any active copyright or other legal process.
- Financial records: Transaction, refund, dispute, tax, affiliate, seller, and payout records are retained for the period needed to satisfy applicable accounting, tax, payment, fraud-prevention, and legal obligations.
6. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to request access to or a copy of personal information, correct inaccurate information, request deletion, obtain portable data, object to or limit certain processing, or opt out of certain disclosures. Legal exceptions and identity verification requirements may apply.
You can manage optional analytics through Cookie settings and certain account preferences in ReelNite settings. To exercise a privacy right that is not available directly in the product, contact privacy@reelnite.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
7. California Privacy Rights
If ReelNite is subject to the California Consumer Privacy Act for your information, California residents may have rights that include knowing or accessing personal information, correcting inaccurate information, deleting personal information subject to exceptions, equal treatment for exercising privacy rights, opting out of sale or sharing where applicable, and limiting certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information where applicable.
ReelNite does not currently offer personal information for money or use optional analytics for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may send California privacy requests to privacy@reelnite.com with the subject "California Privacy Request."
8. Children's Privacy
ReelNite accounts are intended for people age 13 and older. An account holder may create and manage a Kids Profile that filters available titles by maturity level and uses household parental-PIN controls. A Kids Profile is not a separate account and does not permit a child under 13 to create or independently control an account. If ReelNite learns that personal information was collected from a child under 13 contrary to this policy, we will take appropriate steps to delete or otherwise handle the information as required by applicable law.
Parents or guardians who believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to ReelNite may contact privacy@reelnite.com.
9. Security
ReelNite uses administrative, technical, and operational safeguards designed for the risks presented by the service. Depending on the feature, these include encrypted network connections, storage-provider encryption, private media delivery controls, time-limited or signed media access, role and permission checks, recent-authentication requirements for sensitive actions, rate limiting, session revocation, encrypted authenticator secrets, and audit records for governed security and administrative actions.
No electronic system can be guaranteed completely secure. If you believe your ReelNite account or information has been compromised, contact support promptly and change your credentials where appropriate.
10. International Processing
ReelNite and its service providers may process information in the United States and other locations where they operate infrastructure or provide services. When applicable law requires protections for international transfers or gives you additional local privacy rights, ReelNite will handle requests and processing in accordance with those applicable requirements.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as ReelNite changes or as legal requirements develop. We will update the date shown above and provide additional notice when required by applicable law or when appropriate for a material change.
